Childcare and Early Years Providers Survey 2007
We came across the above
document buried deep within the DCSF website. It’s a lengthy document, however we would recommend you take the time to
have a look at it. The survey provides lots of useful and interesting
information covering the whole spectrum of childcare providers. For example,
profitability surveys of settings, staff qualifications, fees, recruitment, training,
work force composition, workings hours etc etc. Well worth a look!!! Just click on the

The
Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) have a very useful bulletin posted on their
website relating to the use of Minibuses and people Carriers within the early
years sector. Many owners/ mangers are now aware of the regulations and
requirements for transporting passengers in a minibus (more than eight seats
but less than 17); however are people aware of the requirements for a taxi
licence for a people carrier if you are transporting passengers for reward. For
further information go to www.dvani.gov.uk
and have a look at their March 2008 enforcement bulletin.
